Frequent Asked Questions
What kinds of activities do you offer?
Our programs include STEM, field trips, nature and animal experiences, sports, sensory play, parent Enrichment, and more— with new offerings added regularly. Visit our Programs page for details.
How does it work?
Where are the programs located?
We partner with venues throughout the Durham Region (and more to come!). Locations vary depending on the program. Sign up or browse available programs to see specific details.
What’s the difference between a traditional co-op and Pillar & Kloud?
Traditional co-ops are often parent-led and rely on shared planning and teaching. Pillar and Kloud is designed to lighten your load—we handle the planning and instruction so you can simply show up and enjoy. No teaching or long-term commitment required.
I’m new to homeschooling or just considering it—do I have a place here?
Yes! Whether you’re exploring homeschooling or fully committed, our programs are a great way to connect, learn, and ease into the lifestyle with support.
I already have a group or co-op. Can I still join?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to join on your own—or bring your group along! We’re happy to support your community with programming that fits your needs.
Are siblings allowed to tag along?
Yes! Many of our programs are designed with flexibility in mind. If the activity is age-specific, we’ll indicate that on the program page—but families with multiple children are always welcome.
Is there an age range for the programs?
Each program is designed with specific age groups in mind, but many are open to a wide range. Details are listed on each program’s description.
What services do you offer?
We offer extracurricular programs through 4-week sessions designed to supplement your homeschooling. These include hands-on learning experiences that support both academic and social development.
Can I stay with my child during the program?
Yes. Our programs are designed for parents to stay, participate, or connect with others during the session. We do not have drop off options. See individual program descriptions for more information.
What should we bring with us?
You’ll receive a confirmation email with any specific instructions for what to bring—snacks, water, clothing, etc.—based on the activity.
Do you sell curriculum?
No. Our programs are designed to enhance your homeschool experience, not replace your chosen curriculum.
I’m interested in Parent Enrichment but not religious. Can I still participate?
Yes. While our Christian faith informs our values, we welcome families from all backgrounds who are seeking growth and community
What are Parent Enrichment programs?
These sessions support and equip parents in their home life and relationships. While parents connect and grow, kids enjoy a weekday “Sunday school”-style experience that builds character and values through fun, age-appropriate activities.
What happens in bad weather?
It depends on the program and the partner venue involved. Some programs may continue indoors, while others may be rescheduled or canceled. Either way, you’ll be notified promptly with updates via email or text.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 7 or more days before the program start date are fully refundable. Cancellations within 7 days will be refunded at 50% of the total cost.
